Embossing & Debossing

Embossing and debossing are the processes of creating either raised or recessed relief images and designs in paper and cardboard materials. In embossing, An image is raised against the surface. Debossing is the opposite of embossing. In Debossing, an image is sunken into the surface of the material.

Embossing VS Debossing 

Embossing and Debossing are the surface finish often applied to attract attention or convey a high end textural contrast in relation to the surrounding area of the gift box.
Often used in combination with foil stamping , embossing alters the surface of gift box by providing a 3D or raised effect on selected areas.
